The Haze is Finally Gone. Yay! And Brutality Gets You Famous.

This was the view from my school during the haze. The air was dirty and understandably unhealthy.
People stayed indoors and many events got cancelled for health reasons.
Respiratory illnesses spiked in the entire region, and there were deaths cases, especially in the country of origin, Indonesia.
Imagine not being able to see 50 metres in front of you!
Now this is what I mean when we can see for miles in a clear day. The haze is no more! Thanks to the shifting winds, which blew the haze back to its originator. I just love blue skies!
The monsoon is here, here expecting a lot of wind and rain.
And floods too, yay!
(Both of the pictures were taken at the same time in the morning, before I attend my class)
This was taken last Friday during a ceremony. The school is on top of a hill, yet we still have two hills which are higher next to the school. I sit at the front, but usually I walk around the students, and buildings, just because I can :)
And this was taken this morning, in a ceremony celebrating the many achievements of the hostel students and wardens. It took a lot of energy to control the boys, especially the older ones who think they know everything. But never mind that, most of them who were against me will be gone next year. And we shall build our empire anew!
I am the most brutal warden of the seven, heck, the scariest teacher in school. Yet, I am abnormally popular amongst students. Fascinating character attracts attention.

The Greatest Author on This Planet; Sir Terry Pratchett (28 April 1948 – 12 March 2015)

This may come WAY so late, writing about somebody who passed away much early this year. But I just kickstarted my blog (again) and at least I may run away with that excuse, eh?

Once in 1997 I was bored and decided to buy a book with my own money (yes, yes, i admit I have STOLEN a great deal of books from people and EVEN libraries.... but that was way when I had few cash to spare, and good books were (and still) expensive). So I visited Kinokuniya of SOGO, the nearest bookstore to the light railway transit station I board to go home.

I love fantasy. And was very familiar with most of the good authors and titles. But the fantasy section in the bookstore was dismally inadequate. Only a measly row remained, with titles I had never heard of. As I did not wish to go empty handed, I picked up a few books to look.

And yes, I am someone who JUDGED a book by its cover.

(And I rarely open a book for a quick read before buying).

In the midst of those few books was a purple blue one.

Heck, the cover is bloody ugly, I thought, no wonder nobody wants it. I turned it to read the blurb;

"FAERIE TRASH.   Ever wonder what those magic circles of stones in the English countryside are for? They're to keep the elves out.
Elves are nasty (besides being brutish and short). They're vicious. They love cruelty. Plus to make things worse, they have got IT. Glamour. Style. Humans find elves absolutely irresistible. They actually think elves are cute!
So when an infestation of faerie Trash invades the Kingdom of Lancre, upsetting the Royal Wedding Plans, the ordinary people of Lancre are helpless. It's up to the witches, led by Granny Weatherax, to deal with the vicious little bastards.
Which is all right with Granny. She thinks elves are cute, too. And that makes them even more fun to kill."

I never smile while reading a book. And this blurb created an instant miracle!
I love fairy tales. And here is an author who tries to be funny in fantasy.
I broke my own rule to judge a book by the cover, bought it and left for the station.

In the train, I opened and started to read. And it happened again, me smiling! The book was so cleverly funny that I continued reading it and finish all 281 pages that very evening.

I was smitten. Never an author had that power over me. I returned the next day after class and bought every single book by the same author (I only got two). I walked to further bookstores to acquire more titles. Traveled across states and one time, used my penpal in America to get me a couple of elusive titles (Amazon.com and online shopping were still unknown back then).

I even got some of his collaborations with other authors.

Yes, he is THAT good. Try him.

So when Sir Terry Pratchett died of Alzheimer's last March, you can say there was a small yet significant hole in my soul. This was a man, who I never met, but through his writings conveyed fantastic little miracles. He created memorable and powerful characters to emulate and hate. Elegance of words even in crude jokes. Observation of the human psyche, and the truth about human nature.

He was the greatest author who ever lived, because he made me smile (and think).

There will never be a new Discworld novel... and I have to wait for the final book to reach this shores still..... But farewell and goodbye Good Sir, your stories will live on within millions of readers who (may accidentally) stumbled upon your works....

p.s. - I found out that in later publishing, the covers of Pratchett's books had improved somewhat :)

It's name is PADDINGTON

I am sorry if I was absent for 10 days, because I was rather busy. Busy gaming my heart out with my PS3 and bonding with my iPad 2 ;)
I got both of these gadgets a week before Christmas. Some of you might remember a couple of years ago that I always mentioned about playing video games in my blog. Then the machine got broken, and all the king's horses and men couldn't put it together again... I was PlayStation-less for a year, and that was bad for me. No outlet to vent this vengeful soul's rage... Killing people in games is the next best thing after the real thing ;)
So the Man has been good enough to let us, the civil servants to get a month's pay bonus this December, a week before Christmas. And I bought a new PlayStation 3, and happy days are here again! Yay for gaming!
As for the iPad 2, a doctor friend of mine was willing to let it go after a couple of months use. He said that it was too complicated and was not really practical to do work with. He's right, I am using it now and me think it's sole purpose was to look good in our hands. And last night (Christmas eve) after discussing with my housemate, we christened him with the name 'Paddington'. (the PlayStation is too much an honourable brand to give it a nickname)
so now you know why I HAD to be busy these few days. Don't fret, I will always visit your blogs and after the frenzy has abated, maybe we'll hold hands and play with the fairies in Wonderland! Oh, that's me full of cough syrup.
Until then, a Happy Christmas to my Christian friends from all over the planet! Yay!

The Little Things That Made Me Happy :)

I bought this at the supermarket yesterday. It is one of that solar powered cute stuff that people put at their dashboard, so they can amuse themselves while waiting in a traffic jam (maybe). I saw many flower-like plastics waving on many dashboards, so I told myself, I gotta find one of my own. But never a flower. Unless it's a sunflower.

So I got myself an Ultraman, who nods while reading a pink book on a plastic wooden log. He nods his head like crazy in the sun. I put a crystal key chain with my name on his left foot.

So I amuse myself...
"Am I so bloody good looking?" And he nods a yes.
"Do I turn left right now at the junction?" And he nods again.
"Should I go watch a movie this weekend?" Yeah, he nods.
"Must you agree with everything I say?" And the nodding goes on...

p.s. - Used to have a solar powered Pikachu (an original from Japan) on my dashboard, but the cute yellow stuff was kidnapped by my younger sister. And she denied it! Below is Blackout the evil Decepticon (in helicopter mode) on my notebook keyboard this evening.

Of Lollipop and Domestic Violence

Last night my new best friend called and asked if I can accompany him to meet his friend who lives in the city. It seemed that his friend, a girl of younger age was hysterical over the phone, asking him to come and help her at home. As I got nothing better to do, I just tagged along.

During the drive, my friend told me that the girl is living together with her older boyfriend (he got a punitive jab at the ribs for associating with scandalous people). And that night she and her lover finally take their differences to the extreme - a real slug fest + wrestlemania. I didn't believe my friend's story, naturally.

So we arrived at the girl's house, and my friend's female friend was waiting for us outside. Both of them started to talk animatedly and I got bored like after 5 minutes of the conversation. So I walked to a nearby convenience shop and bought myself a chocolate bar and a huge colourful lollipop. I walked back to join my friend and this stricken girl, with the huge lollipop literally in my mouth (with the stick sticking outside :) ).

Yes, I PURPOSELY did this childish thing. I like to annoy people randomly. (And that happen to be my very first lollipop this year).

Anyway, the violence between the lovers was valid indeed. When I idly asked her if she had any mark from the fight, she showed her arms and neck, which were bruised and decorated with nail marks too! (Which we didn't notice at first in the gloom).

My friend, the nicer half of us asked the girl to have patience if she still loves her man. Me, the evil half, advised her to go to a clinic and get a medical report, for future use (court, death, police etc). She thought I was making a joke, with the candy stick in my mouth.

I do not wish to dwell on this longer. Because I simply disapprove of unmarried couples living together, no matter how they love each other.

Oh, and we stopped by Pizza Hut on the way back. I just love pepperoni pizza!

The moral of the story; People can start bitchin' around, but some people just don't really care and eat candy instead.

Of Exams and the Easiest Job On the Planet

Exam week is finally around the corner for the rest of the students. Above is of the trial PMR exam for Form 3 (15 years old) which was held last week. I didn't teach these students but I took some pictures anyway for the school records (and mine too).

I rarely revise for any exams when I was a student. Yes, I was sloppy and lazy. You can say I might not even care if I passed or not. But for some fantastic luck, I didn't do that badly after all.

I teach Science to Form 2 students and Physics for Form 4 and 5. I just love teaching Science because I know I am bloody good at it. But teaching Physics to students with average intelligence is an uphill battle. I cannot be hard on them or they'll lose interest. Too much play and nothing gets into those thick skulls.

Before this, I wrote an entry about being a teacher is not the easiest job. But hey, during exam weeks, it should be. No extra classes, no co-curriculum activities and of course, no teaching. We just sit and monitor the students taking the exam. But usually I take up a good book and read the while away while some students cheat and copy right under my nose.

Well, at least they made an effort not to fail, right? The purpose justify the method, no matter how crooked. But I hope they'll learn soon enough that in REAL exams, harsh and deliberate actions will be taken if they are caught.

I warned them. Thrice.

p.s. - for your info, I DID copy during my SPM exam in 1995 and was never caught. It was during Physics... Now I am doomed to teach the subject for all eternity. Ironic.

One Ferret Is Never Enough

I was always wondering when I can have another fuzzy to accompany Kaos, my pet ferret at home. Ferrets are cute, lovable and very very active. My Kaos for instance, always look forward for me to play with him, never bites and would be very bored if left alone for long.

I like male ferrets better, because they are bulkier, bigger than the females. And male ferrets looks more like cats too.

Anyway, this afternoon as I was lazing aroung in the laboratory waiting for students, the guy who gave me Kaos for adoption called. Firstly we talked about my ferret well being, such a responsible breeder he is. Then he asked if I was interested to adopt another male ferret, which is younger than Kaos, who is now 7 months old. He told me that they have 30 ferrets altogether and needed responsible people who know and love ferrets (moi) to care for them.

I jumped to the bait and said yes. Personally I love these fuzzballs and two ferrets is actually better than a lonely one. [Ferrets are so social. Happy ferrets live longer] So my new ferret will arrive this middle of September, somewhat near the Eid.

Will tell Kaos of his new roomie this evening. He'd be delighted to have a friend to brawl with. The cage is big enough for four fuzzies actually.

Ferrets owners / masters will tell you that these mammals are many times better than a cat or a dog in many ways (maybe except the pooping part). And I happily agree with them. :)

Something to think about; Ferrets are the 3rd most popular pets after cats and dogs in the US. But many people do not have any idea how to care for them well enough...

I Love Candy!

Watched 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' on dvd last night. Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka is both funny and a bit creepy. When I first saw the film years ago, I thought the chocolatier was going to kill the children one by one, from the way Mr Wonka glanced at them. And then I remembered that the film was based on a popular children book. My hopes of watching little children torn from limb to limb was dashed.

Oh well.

Anyway, my point is, after watching the delicious display of chocolates in the movie (I think a waterfall of chocolate is so posh!) I felt the urge to sink my teeth into a chocolate bar. But it was 10.30 pm! What to do?!! Fortunately a 7-11 is not far away and I drove (yes, adding air and sound pollution in the process) my car even though my bicycle was begging me to use it.

I bought a bar of chocolate milk, mainly because I hate nuts or raisins in any candy I eat. Went back and ate the bar standing in the kitchen. The RICHNESS. The AROMA. The STICKINESS (it was melting in heat of my loving grasp).

But the SWEETNESS got into me. Too bloody sweet. So I put the other uneaten half into the fridge for later consumption. Hope my mom didn't find it. She always take my candy and give it to my younger brother for 'my very own health'.

Of Walls and Happy Thoughts...

I don't make friends easily as people around me noticed. And my forbidding aura of utter dislike and superiority drives many away. Psychiatrists mention a 'wall' around people, more magnified around 'special' persons like me.

To be my friend, you have to climb / tear down / ignore that wall.

Anyway I met a stranger for drinks today. Yes, I do TRY to socialize outside my occupation scope (teachers can be boring friends). We talked and we had an instant liking of each other. Nope, not sexually. And heaven forbids if I found another evil minded demon to be my new partner in crime. I DO like to befriend nice people, at least my life would not always full of gloom, doom and other things that end with 'oom'.

Befriending nice people makes me feel... well, nicer. And I am a heinously sinful person to start with.

Well, we talked and talked and time really flies when you are enjoying good company. He never disagrees with me and a complementer, meaning he fills in whatever I carelessly left open. Not judgmental. Leave the judging to me.

I found a new best friend.  And he lives quite near too! Better still, we are related.

Tomorrow evening, I'll be accompanying him to his friend's father funeral ceremony. Anything for somebody who made me happy. :)

PlayStation and Purple Ink

I've been sinking in my own mire of misery since my PlayStation 3 console was sent to the shops for repair. Life is INDEED a bit dull when you don't have your daily dosage of mass killing and level upgrades. So I have returned to my old flame, who I left years ago - computer games. Yep, click click clicking the mouse - building whole nations from the ground up or murdering peasants - whiling the time away. (I am currently playing Dungeon Keeper, the first ever computer game I bought with my own money [1997]. And Simcity 4, when I feel like being a nation father-founder.)

These are not new games, but they suit my notebook computer, which is not really powerful in the first place. I am a gamer with simple taste.

Anyway I woke up yesterday evening panicking when receiving a message from my mobile phone service provider, distrupting my line - I failed to pay the bill for two months. Ok ok my fault. So away I flew to the city and paid the damn overdued thing.

Thirty kilometres of driving just to pay your mobile phone bill... Well, it keeps life interesting for me when we are spontaneous. And as I was there in the city, window shopping was imminent. Wanna buy some 'Transformers 2' merchandise and toys but I was VERY DISGUSTED with the lack of specific target spectrum. Where's the stuff for EVIL boys and girls!!! We hate Optimus and Bumblebee!!! We wanna see MORE BAD ASS DECEPTICONS!!! Not Fair!!!

I left the toy section without buying anything and visited the stationery department, because I like to look at fountain pens. :)

And hey!! They got PURPLE INK!!!! (Violet really) That really made my day. Been looking for an inkwell full of purple ink for ages. Cannot wait to write my teaching reports in purple. He he he.

An Outing with My Pet - Ferret Hilton a.k.a. Kaos

I am just back from the night market, with a couple of friends and my ferret. We left Kaos alone in the car as I bought 1.5 kg of gizzard (my fav part of the chicken after the heart) and my friends got some tasty food and drinks for our supper.

We took the foodstuf to a nearby recreational area, spread the food on a bench and took my ferret out from the car for him to roam (on a leash). And as his previous owner told me a long long time ago, a ferret is a chick / kid magnet. Boy, he was right.

Twenty one young boys and six girls touched my ferret tonight. Several more just watched from afar, either too scared or their parents wouldn't allow them to come nearer. And people do ask what animal was it. All of them never heard of a ferret, or its closest domestic cousin, the civet. I predicted that there are only four ferrets in this state. You see, ferrets are VERY costly here. Though they are exteremely cute and lovable, ferrets are not for beginners.

They need a lot of attention. Eat high quality cat food (expensive). Only a very huge cage is suitable. Two or three hours of playtime daily. Etc. A ferret is not a cat or a small dog. Our local vet admitted that he never held one before (so I NEED to pray my Kaos is always healthy).

Cons aside... this little mammal is the BEST pet I ever invested in. He's funny and cuddly, very active and curious. As I talked to my friends, Kaos never tire of sniffing around, padding towards children who were so fascinated with him. He might feel like Paris Hilton, amongst the paparazzi. Ha ha ha ha ha.

This is a very joyful evening for me and Kaos. The only thing that marred my happy feeling was when my friends telling me about a woman and her boyfriend who were walking behind me while I was playing with my ferret. She was the only person among many who made a disgusted face, complete with the "Eeeewww! Eeeewww!" soundtrack. My friends knew if I saw her, I'd spit fire and poison to the ignorant bitch and her poor excuse of a lover, so they kept quiet as the couple walked past behind me. They were right, I'd chase the stupid duo around town if I have to.

Anyway, here's a pic of me and Kaos before we return back. It's good to gloat once in a while, non?

Words From An Educated Psychopath 7 and the Divine Wolverine

"Sometimes I wonder who taught you to write while you are in kindergarten or primary school" - over some very very bad handwriting in exercise book.

"There is no persuasion in our religion. But there IS the use of Force in my Science class." - before caning some students failing to complete assignments with my very huge cane.

"It is OK if you are really stupid. What I really cannot stand is STUPID and ARROGANT people. At least stupidity can be fixed by studying. Those who think they are too good to be in my class can step out and go to hell." - free lecture, the decline of quality students is horrifying.

-~w[oOo]w~-

I just NEED to share with you all about the 'Wolverine; X-Men Origin' game I bought and played. The movie sucked like mad but this video game was phenomenal! Like they are trying to compensate the lameness of the film - everything. Now I get to chop heads, maim limbs and throw bodies toward spikes with abandon and everything is in glorious blood-fest. They should let the game-makers be the next X-Men movie directors.

I always root for evil characters, but Wolverine is one of the exception because he's divinely brutal and sadistic (the real one, not Hugh Jackman).

Shattered Marriage And Dream

My relationship with my wife (very soon to be ex) was not a happy one, mainly because of her fault, but I am not going to tell you why. I wanted children of my own but now the dream has gone into the toilet bowl, flushed down the sewer and now bye bye, lost at sea.

Sometimes I think that this is God's heavy sentence upon me - for being such an evil person most of my life. Well... I am not angry with Fate. Just a teeny weenie disappointed.

Life goes on.

It's ironic that I am VERY good with children, especially toddlers, but never had any myself. No matter how brutally (and sometimes destructively) angry I was in class, my students still adore me.

Some might say I am a lonely fool but I am not so, just severely bored. I read (from great MANY ferret manuals) that a ferret's life is shorten if he is caged and has nothing to stimulating to do. I think the same thing might happen to me, so I usually seek my own amusement. The methods of finding fun will not be enclosed here - mainly for your own peace of mind.

Well, tomorrow I am going to watch 'The Last Vampire' with a couple of friends. The rain of blood and limbs will cheer me up mightily, and the promise of converting somebody to my evil cause is very sweet indeed.

I never said I was nice. So sue me.

Viewtiful Virtual Vacation and Mashing Monsters

I stayed at home for four days doing nothing much because I am simply a homebody who waited for interesting things to make me go outside (movies, an urge to eat junk food, loitering around etc).

I am playing this new video game; Sacred 2 - about a fantasy realm called Ancaria ya da ya da ya da.... no need to bore you guys about the plot. All I wanted to say was the game was so BLOODY beautiful, very much like taking a stroll in a fantasy world filled with fantastic creatures. And of course you can bash those creatures if they come interrupting your walk around the huge land.

I met people, who had limited answers like "Hi!""Good to see you.""You are pretty." etc and the architecture of the towns were believable and so 'olde-worlde'. The forests were alive with animals and the small little details like bursting dandelions and the sound of a merry brook makes me go gaga over the realism.

Yes, I wish to spend my holidays inside a 32-inch flat screen tv.

Thank goodness for PS3. :)

p.s. - for the record, my character is a Seraphim (good female angel) which is SO NOT me. I prefer to use male characters and do the EVIL campaign first. But seraphims can ride saber tooth tigers. The cool factor there was undisputed.

Erm.... this entry reminds me of the upcoming movie 'Surrogate' starring Bruce Willis. It's about people in virtual reality gadgets, and controlling robots as their own surrogates. Cool.

I Rarely Loiter Around

Yes, I am someone who don't do crowd browsing and sitting in a cafe and waste the time away. Whenever I go out alone or with friends, I would go to the places I wanted to go, do my things and then go back home straightaway.

E.g Go buy movie tickets --> Go to book stores to look for interesting books --> Have lunch while waiting for movie --> Do a bit of window shopping --> Watch movie --> Go home.

But this afternoon was different, for the first time in my life, I SERIALLY (is this correct?) loitered around. Yes, continous loitering in several places, doing nothing but drink and look at people. And I found out that is is great fun with good company. :)

We went to the beach and do nothing but look at people and things for a couple of hours. Then to the bus station and inside an A&W outlet, (root beer paid by friends) for another session of crowd browsing. Then to another mall and another fast food outlet, Mary Brown which had swings for sitting places (I REALLY love swings) and stayed there longer, sipping bad tasting carbonated drinks.

The three of us talked and made jokes so loudly, yet I didn't care. My big fat friend and I were accomplished imitators of people and we amused our third friend with our antics. I took a picture of  my big friend, who took my silver bangle and put it on his ears for a joke. I told him I'd put his picture in the net and he had to pay me a million dollars to get it off.

Ha ha ha! I think I wanna loiter some more this week.

Of e-Books and Real Books

Many blogs that I am following now mentioned about books and of course about what to do with them - read. Books come in many types, size and volumes. I love books and most of the books I had during my secondary school were stolen from friends and the library. Ok, I am someone who admits his wrong-doings because it is the manly thing to do. What's wrong to acquire the books nobody read? (or in my friends case, they finished reading and then just put them under their desk).

I read and hear about e-books and free digital books online with envy. I love good books, but I love FREE books better. I have three bookcases full of books (stolen and honestly acquired) at home and there is no more space for new books.

But seriously, a good book is like your best friend. It keeps you company and amuses you.

Erm... I was looking for this particular book; Ferrets For Dummies - which is said to be the best and most popular ferret book in the market. I REALLY want this book.
But OF COURSE this book cannot be found anywhere in ol Malacca town, heck, even Borders and the great Kinokuniya of KL! I was angry, I was lost, I almost gave up.

And then I remembered my favourite past time a long time ago before I terminated my internet-line service. Downloading video torrents... yes, stealing from the net and then sharing them with the world - ONLINE PIRACY. Well, last night I try searching for this ferret book torrent and voila! There are many of them online, free for the taking - the full version.

It took me less than 5 minutes to download, and I was happily reading the 400 odd pages (using Acrobat) moments later. Why oh why I didn't do this earlier? Silly me.

But I still prefer real books than e-books. You can touch the pages, riffle through it, thumb the pages, smell the paper and even throw it away if it contains crap. It's too much a hassle to scroll the digital pages and change the size view for a comfortable read.

Ok, I pledge never to use the power of internet piracy to download books I don't really want. (You believe me?)

Which do you prefer? Digital or paper?

The Sunset and The Chick Magnet

Yesterday evening I went to the beach with a friend to watch the sunset. Haven't been to the beach for quite some time and it was rather peaceful there, although a bit crowded.  Many people who attended the beach were actually patrons to the many seafood restaurants nearby. I was not in any mood for a meal,  even though I love fish very much.

And I bought Kaos along, looking very handsome with his leash. :) Many young people, especially girls approached us and vexing me by asking the same question; "Is that an otter?" People! Surely you have seen otters on the tv, though ferrets and otters are indeed cousins. Oh the price of fame to be paid by having a rare pet (I only knew 3 other ferret masters in Malacca).

While letting Kaos dig the sand to his heart content, my friend and I spent the time chatting, while waiting for the sun to set. It was not going to be a spectacular blood red phenomena (I was hoping) because the weather was indeed rather fair that evening. Well, to the sea to watch the sunset I went, and a sunset I will watch.

The sun looked like a huge yellow pearl, or some expensive bead, or even maybe a Dragonball :) See what I mean about the weather? Not even a cloud in the sky! It was an enjoyable and peaceful visit. Kaos was happy to be at the beach for the first time and I was happy to get some photos for my blog, Flickr and forums.

Oh, and we had lai-chee kang ABC after that. Fantastic taste. (Too dark for a picture)

Mount Presents Revisited.

Get ready because I am going to gloat all over again! Yes, this is the picture of my presents for Teacher's Day last Monday, which I brought home today.

They filled the whole couch! And to make bragging more painful for youse people, I took the picture using my Sony-H3 digital camera. So the photo should be EXTRA clear for your envious viewing pleasure.

Will open them around 10 pm. Wanna have dinner. Gloating is heavy work indeed :)

Words From An Educated Psychopath 3

"Please raise up your hands those who sent me presents yesterday. Well, you made my day. Thank you." - smiling, me. You know the reason.

"Oh PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Stop pretending in front of me. You rarely read my subject." - to my Physics students who were feverishly revising before the exam.

Due to a corruption of my external memory card, I am unable to snap the pic of my presents using my hand phone. But please wait for it.....

Mission Accomplished : Mount Presents

Today is Teacher's Day in school. And I arrived in school much later than usual brandishing two digital cameras (my own Sony-H3 and an Ixus) because I am the school un-official photographer. I love taking pictures, and I am VERY good at it (not the pictures taken with my mobile phone though, those are of low quality). I began the morning with taking candid pictures of the teachers all over the school.

I am sorry. But these old female teachers THREATEN to kill me if I put their pictures in my blog. And they will check frequently. :( *snif* There goes my opportunity to make fun on other's expenses.

Anyhoo (as the Australians would say), the reason for this entry is.... YES, I ACHIEVED A MOUNTAIN OF GIFTS ON MY DESK!!! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!! 1 000 x  The secondary objective to make the other teachers green with envy was also successful.

And they accused me of forcing my students to give the presents. Ok, ok, I admit I did the dastardly deed last year. But this year (if you follow my 'Words from An Educated Psychopath') I only ask them what they wanted to give me. It's a huge difference, right?

Ok, enough gloating for now. I have a snippet of my students' 'dikir barat' during the performance for teachers this afternoon. Hope you like them. :) [Sorry for the lousy sound. I was sitting at the very front, on the steps, next to the huge speaker]

Oh, and I will take a photo of my presents tomorrow (if none were stolen).
