The only time I held a microphone was when banging it up against the wall for being faulty, for a friend.
And then I laid back, watching and HEARING the godawful noise coming from both machine and men. I rest my case.
p.s. - Wanted to put on the video of the session here but my friends said they'd scratch my car if I ever did. Spoilsport.

Let's hate it together then. :)
There are three types of Karaoke singers.
1. Those that sing well. They are fun to listen to.
2. Those that can't sing worth a @##$ and think they can. It's similar to having your eyeballs poked with red hot needles. Very painful
3. Those that can't sing, Know they can't sing, and just don't give a @#$%#. They can be very entertaining as they laugh at themselves because they get the joke.
Karaoke is best endured while very drunk. Legal self-anesthesia can be a good thing on occasion.
And you should post the video anyway...
ying-ko-4; Karaoke singers butchered even the greatest songs ever with their determination to entertain themselves.
It's just plain wrong to let somebody with a toad-like croak to sing Back Street Boy's 'I'll Never Break Your Heart.'
If you hate karaoke so much, why join in? You'd be better off confiding your hatred for karaoke to Kiki and Kaos.
Aizan; Naturally I was there not for the singing. I was there to accompany these singing bozos who might hurt themselves with the microphones.
And just to make sure that karaoke still sucks. :)
I love karaoke!! Aizan and I are going to have a blast at the the next session we go too :) I presume you are not joining us as I dont want my mic to be banged up against the wall! :P
SSQuo; The Doubtful Dancing Queen is ALSO a singing DIVA? So we live and learn that some people are apparently multi-talented. :)

et; You don't know what karaoke is?! It's the damn singing with the tv as your guide thing. VERY popular in Japan and Korea.
I hate it because it butchered good songs when sung by irresponsible people (with voices that can cause deafness)
