Rosy during a molt a few months ago
My female Chilean Rose Tarantula died yesterday. She was in the middle of a molt, and I do not know what went wrong, but she never finished emerging from her old carapace. :`(
A tarantula spider is a great pet. It never made any noise, and never ask for your attention. You can forget to feed it for almost a month and it still lives (we hope). It prefers to be left alone in her box / container / terrarium etc. Bloody difficult and expensive to get one...
I shall miss you Rosy, you were a wonderful pet (and show piece). And I will not get another arachnid to replace you. :( [I'll get a snake instead]
p.s. - I took Rosy's body and unceremoniously tossed it into my mom's fish pond in front of the house. The huge catfishs fought each other just to take a bite.

Ahhh..Rosy would be ever so proud that she ended up as fish food.
Aizan; I was being practical. She was (still) plump and juicy, and to bury her would be a waste of good fish-food.
I am not that a sentimental person to bury all my dead pets.
Poor Rosie! No funeral? No tears?
Love the Ferret pic - I used to have a pale yellow one. He was great.
Rock Chef; That WAS a funeral. Pagan like of course. Oh you know the circle of life crap, one death springs a new life ya da ya da.
Sorry to read of Rosy's demise. Maybe the not feeding tarantulas for a whole month is not so unimportant after all......
James; I DID feed her rather regularly. I am just SAYING tarantulas are quite hardy, that's all. But very vulnerable during molting :(
oh god! u just throw it out to ur fish pond???
poor rosy without appropriate funeral from her master....huhuhu..
good bye rosy...gonna miss u soon...
i guess i would buy u a snake next time...
maximus; you would?! Awwwww.... thanks a lot.

Vyazz; I considered an iguana to be really ugly. And you know it can grow to an incredible size! Where shall I put him then?
