First Day in School 2010

I love work, being a teacher. I like pointing to the masses the right way at the crossroads of Life. Working with people is difficult, but if you have the talent for it, could be a very satisfying job.

Well, I am a Form 1 Teacher (13 years olds). And the Power Up Above (office) gave me the 'C' class (again), the only indigenous class. I am ok, I am not complaining. Life is good, at first.

And then, I went to Form 5 MPV (17 yrs old) for my first ever CIVIC class and I dreaded my next classes with these young people. 20% of the student were difficult to control, and you might say, oh that's only a few.... but a drop of ink DOES make an entire glass of water murky. Enough said.

To remedy this... I might have to bring my video camera to record EVERY classroom sessions with them. I do play dirty. And I do collect evidence of any misconduct in class. Starting next week.

The picture above is of my colleague, in charge of Discipline, talking about the school regulations and proper conduct to the Form 1. She pulled out some boys to show what's-not; long hair, spiky hair, belt buckles etc. I had to scream twice this morning to make students obey.

I am now officially a Prefect Teacher. And VE HAVE VAYS TO MAKE ZEM VORK WIT UZ!

But still the unofficial school photographer. Oh well.

Talk softly but carry a big stick, they say.

Carrying a video recorder is a good alternative too.

You have a hard job there! 17 year olds? At least here at a Unniversity they are here because they want to be, not because they have to be!

I like the video camera idea! Hey, if nothing else you will get to post it on YouTube! :-)

Not really!

Aizan; Really? I used to carry a big stick AND loud.

Tenchi; You are a bad paymaster! You make young people work for you!

Rock Chef; I'd be in big trouble if I accidentally uploaded those videos in YouTube. Some idiots students did that last year and they are still paying the price. :)

Those bunch of boys look so clean-cut and proper. Wish the school kids in Canada/USA looked as neat and well put together as your kids. It's hard here to keep the girls from wearing the booty shorts in the summer. The boys love the baggy rapper wear. I hope you have a great school year.

SSQuo; Gosh! I made through to you finally. Too busy eh? Ok, just take your time to breathe... and put up a short and measly entry in your blog pronto!

Chriss; Oh, I wanna DO much BETTER in school. Total domination over students. Zero tolerance with naughty boys. I am one of the nasty teachers that will go down in their memories. :)
