It's name is PADDINGTON
I got both of these gadgets a week before Christmas. Some of you might remember a couple of years ago that I always mentioned about playing video games in my blog. Then the machine got broken, and all the king's horses and men couldn't put it together again... I was PlayStation-less for a year, and that was bad for me. No outlet to vent this vengeful soul's rage... Killing people in games is the next best thing after the real thing ;)
So the Man has been good enough to let us, the civil servants to get a month's pay bonus this December, a week before Christmas. And I bought a new PlayStation 3, and happy days are here again! Yay for gaming!
As for the iPad 2, a doctor friend of mine was willing to let it go after a couple of months use. He said that it was too complicated and was not really practical to do work with. He's right, I am using it now and me think it's sole purpose was to look good in our hands. And last night (Christmas eve) after discussing with my housemate, we christened him with the name 'Paddington'. (the PlayStation is too much an honourable brand to give it a nickname)
so now you know why I HAD to be busy these few days. Don't fret, I will always visit your blogs and after the frenzy has abated, maybe we'll hold hands and play with the fairies in Wonderland! Oh, that's me full of cough syrup.
Until then, a Happy Christmas to my Christian friends from all over the planet! Yay!
WarHammer 4000 Dawn of War; SoulStorm
Gosh, why I was never aware of this amazing RTS game before? Maybe I was blinded by the fantasy and medieval genre, my first love; in books, movies and of course, gaming. (Note to myself; Let's watch 'Clash of The Titans' this Sunday in 3D!!!!)
For now, I am playing the Sisters of Battle [Adepta Sororitas], those highly religious female knights with huge swords and bigger guns (WARGHHH!! I LIKE!!). And they'll scream "Die, heretics!'" "We only serve the will of the Emperor!" "We shall cleanse this planet with Fire!!""Infidels, you will be judged!" etc I just love zealots. The devotion shown could lift an entire mountain :)
Why I chose to play warrior princesses? Believe it or not, I am quite the feminist (NOT feminine!!!) And just look at that bad-ass chick :) Now that's a lot-of-wimmin :D
Without Regret, Well Really!
A Letter to Play Station 3.
F**k with a CAPITAL 'F'
I am so sorry for being so obscene... usually I am a mellow kind of guy, not really excited about many things. But, but... aiyah, so bloody irritated just now.Disgusting Undead and Brutish / British Bond
I bought "Resident Evil 5" for my Play Station 3 against my better judgement. Capcom's phenomenal zombie-killing game series are so popular they had to launch another one after the success of "Resident Evil 4". Gosh. Most of you who read my blog and personally know me would say that I am a fearless sort of person. But I drew a line at certain things, and zombie(s) is one of it.Words From An Educated Psychopath 7 and the Divine Wolverine
Viewtiful Virtual Vacation and Mashing Monsters
I stayed at home for four days doing nothing much because I am simply a homebody who waited for interesting things to make me go outside (movies, an urge to eat junk food, loitering around etc). We Launched Rockets All Day!
I brought my Chilean Rose tarantula, Rosy to school in her terrarium for next week's 'Science & Math Week' exhibition in my Physics lab. I will bring Pandy to school next Tuesday, because the ferret is so attached to me, and there is no way in Hell I'm leaving him alone for the weekend. Game, Gamer, Gamest
I stayed at home the whole day, playing Killzone 2 on my PS3. The enemies are from another planet, red-eyed and breathed through gas-masks. And to make them more sinister, they were clothed very much like Nazis. So it is ok to kill a huge multitude of godless tyrant-worshipping aliens because they are not human. :)
This is the best first-person shooter now, for me. And we know that the good people of Game World have more in store for us.
Whenever a friend or student asked if I was ever tired or regretted spending so much money on games, I said no. Constant gaming is a stress relieving method for me, other than reading books or going to the cinema. I am evil by nature, so killing men with shotguns and blasting through doors by magic is a fantasy staple for us. Of course we cannot do the many many evil deeds in real life. So I always think that games are a savior for demented souls.
But I do not condone imitating game violence. It is rather sad, and very PATHETIC for those poor souls who got into trouble by trying to live up the violence. Erm... maybe guns do talk to the weilder in strange ways, real or not.
Oh well, I have another game to play after Killzone 2, it's Demon's Souls from Sony, a medieval hack-n-slash-plus-magic, my kind of game. I love killing zombies in the weekend, but this have to wait until I kill all the evil Helghast first with my rifle. :)
Good Has Been Vanquished
After many times of interruptions, at last I finished playing Lord of the Rings; Conquest on PS3. Playing the good guys was so boring, because I never liked characters like Legolas, Gimli and Faramir. In 'Raise of Sauron' the evil campaign after being on the good guys' team, that's where the fun really is.Terminated Faramir with a troll.
I killed Gimli and Aragorn with Saruman the traitor.
Murdered Legolas and Elrond with the mighty Sauron himself.
And finally squashed Treebeard and Gandalf with the awesome Balrog.
This is really a fun game for fans of Middle Earth. Although the display was a bit low-key for a PS3 game, it was still an enjoyable ride.
'The darkness is now complete.'
Me and My PlayStation(s)

My PlayStation 3 is in my bedroom a.k.a. playroom (because I rarely sleep in my own room), in the wooden cabinet, under the 32 inch Toshiba HDTV I bought especially for games last November.
I copied two of my favourite movies from my external HD into the PS3 hard disc. 'Transformers' and 'Final Fantasy: Advent Children'. The memory was almost inadequate, because I've installed so many games already I guess. 60 Gb is not that large.
I have two Playstation 2. The old bulkier black one is UNDER the PS3, collecting dust and spiderwebs. I will wait for the day to give it freely to anyone that pleases me. The other slimmer silver version.... it was broken and taken apart, now under my younger brother's bed. Bloody expensive waste.
Some might say video games are a waste of time. I will tell them to drink pesticide and jump off bridges. This addiction is much safer than drugs.
Yay for Playstations!
Lord of the Rings ; Conquest
I've always been a fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, way back before Peter Jackson decided to direct the excellent movies. Heck, the 3-in-one book was literally thrown to me by a friend who decided it was too complicated to understand, the language archaic. I admit the books were a bit boring sometimes, but these are the grand daddies of fantasy books nowadays. A must read.So when PS3 decided to have Lord of the Rings Conquest in her January batch of games, I quickly book the title from my game agent. I played all of the PlayStation2 LotR games and PS3 promised a much different way to play; we get to play the baddies to wreck havoc and chaos on Middle Earth! I always wanted to kill Legolas, that pretty boy-b***h.
I got the game today yet I didn't open it yet. I will finish killing aliens in Resistance 2 first before descending onto the Shire to kill hobbits. This time we shall make a different ending to that happy story.
Nazguls are cool. And Sauron rules.
