Happy Independence Day Malaysia!

I consider myself as a bloody patriot, easily goes to flame when hearing / witnessing any insult against the country or what it stood for. If it was up to me, SEVERAL individuals would be deported out of the country, their assets seized and many many more thrown into jail with the key conveniently tossed into the Straits of Malacca.

History is the best teacher. The fall of mighty empires always started from within. I hope the rest of the good citizens of Malaysia realized this. And the foolish bastards who created chaos and discord among the people, I hope you lot rot in Hell, and your names printed in our school history books as traitors to the Motherland.

See, I just set myself on fire again. :)

Tomorrow, the 31st August is the 52nd Independence Day. Malaysia Boleh!

I assume this is a day to celebrate, but the way it has worked you up, I'm not entirely sure. For us, the 4th of July is largely a reason to get together and drink large quantities of cheap beer. :) (I mean as a country. I drink Pale Ale or Porter.)

Not many people appreciate or understand the spirit of Merdeka. Merdeka to the youth of the nation means a night of hooliganism, getting drunk and casual sex. Sad, but true.

SLC: Yes, it should be a day for a family gathering, but Malaysia has so many holidays, the Independence Day is just another work free day.

Aizan; Every Independence Day, I just stay at home and wake up very late. No notion to go partying the night before or going out on the day itself.

Shadowthorne,

thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog. I have only just read the comments, otherwise I would have been here sooner.

Happy Independence day.
My father in law spent some time in Malaysia, I know his father was a policeman out there. He was Sikh.

James; Welcome aboard. Thanks for the wish :)

Is his father still here? What year?

Hope you have a fantastic Independence Day.

Sid; Actually I stayed at home the entire day with the tv off and the radio on. Same as the years before, celebrating Independence the quiet way.

Merdeka day is just another day for me to rest and wake up late...

For those who stir up the chaos...wish them rot in hell...and leave us in peace...

Tenchi; Amen to that.
